A new dream…

Cutting Edge grew over the years, but Matt wasn’t totally “sold” on the idea of being the owner/operator of a lawn care service. He sold this business and began driving trucks – big, 18-wheelers across the United States. But, maybe, trucking wasn’t Matt’s dream … after a few more years, he went back to his first passion – grass cutting and lawn maintenance.

In 2016 Gordon’s Lawn and Landscaping was born and Matt once again began taking care a lawns in and around his home neighborhood.

The customer base continued to grow, and many of these loyal and satisfied clients wanted “more.” Help with their gardens, trimming and pruning .. this need spurred Matt to earn a Louisiana Horticulture License and allowed him to offer even higher levels of service and care to those exiting – and the many new ones to come – customers.

Matt has a knack for seeing the best qualities in a person. This gift helped him assemble a team of specialized, qualified, skilled and talented co-workers

Where we are … and where we’re going…

Today, Gordon’s Lawn and Landscaping is able to provide landscape design and installation; drainage solutions; hardscaping and pavers, pergolas, iron fences and gates, synthetic turf and so much more!

Matt and his team have not forgotten their roots, and can be seen participating in his church’s annual Crawfish Boil Competition as well as supporting local businesses and schools.

Our future is growing and glowing … we are glad to be a part of a profession that helps families realize their dreams of customized, one-of-a-kind outdoor spaces.
